  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Topping Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dough

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth, then let rise for 1 hour.

Filling and Assembling

  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle.
  • Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
  • Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking pan.

Adding the Topping

  • In a separate bowl, mix corn syrup and heavy cream, then pour over the rolls.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Keep it simple by using warm milk to activate the yeast. You can refrigerate the assembled rolls overnight and bake in the morning for a make-ahead option. For storage, keep in an airtight container for 2 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 2 months.
