Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 500 g ground beef Can substitute with ground lamb or turkey.
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped Adds flavor and freshness.
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper

For Assembly

  • 4 pieces pita breads Cut in half to create pockets.
  • as needed olive oil For brushing.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are perfectly combined.
  • Cut each pita bread in half to create pockets.
  • Stuff each pita half with the beef mixture, filling them generously but not overflowing.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or pan over medium heat and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  • Place the stuffed pitas on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden and crispy.
  • Remove from the grill, cut into pieces, and serve warm.

Notes

You can prepare the filling ahead and store it in the fridge. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat on the grill or in the oven to retain crispiness.
