  • 2 cups Greek yogurt Use thick Greek yogurt for creamy texture.
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated Squeeze well to remove excess water.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Mince small for better flavor distribution.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Add a bit on top when serving if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped (optional) For a fresher taste.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, chopped dill, minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil.
  • Mix until well blended.
  • For a fresher taste, add a touch of chopped mint if desired.
  • Chill the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.

Serving

  • Serve chilled as a dip for pita or raw veggies, or as a topping for grilled meats, fish, or roasted vegetables.
  • Store in a clean, airtight container in the refrigerator and use within four days.

Notes

Taste and adjust with salt or lemon as desired. Drain and stir if extra water from the cucumber is present before serving.
