  • 1 cup bell pepper or zucchini, diced For sneaky veggies.

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika Adds smokiness.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, brown the ground turkey for 5–7 minutes until just starting to brown.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until soft (2–3 minutes).
  • Stir in the cumin, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste for 1 minute to bloom the flavor.
  • Add the diced bell pepper or zucchini along with broth or water, and simmer for 8–10 minutes until everything is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • Taste and adjust the salt and pepper.
  • Finish with green herbs and a squeeze of lemon or lime for brightness.

Notes
