Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar until well mixed.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Slowly add the dry mix to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.

Baking

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Drop tablespoons of dough onto the sheet, spacing them out.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies can be made ahead of time. Store in an airtight container for about a week. You can also freeze the dough for 2-3 months.
