Preparation

  • Peel and slice the onions into thin rings.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss the onion rings in the flour mixture until well coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place the coated onion rings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Lightly spray or brush with cooking spray or oil.
  • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and serve as a snack or topping for burgers and salads.

Notes

Keep onion slices thin for best results and consider cooking them in batches. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheated in the air fryer for optimal crunch.
